Ecological Watch: mass death of fish in pond of Maikop Distillery
Activists of the "Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus" have fixed a mass death of fish in the pond and air pollution in the Maikop District of Adygea, near the local distillery; however, the Prosecutor's Office has not confirmed the death of fish.

In Turkey, Circassian Diaspora demands to create conditions for learning mother tongue

The Turkish city of Kayseri hosted a demonstration and a rally of representatives of the Circassian Diaspora. The protesters demanded that the government should create the conditions for learning Circassian language at comprehensive schools in Turkey and to establish broadcasting in Circassian language on public TV channels.

In Adygea, defence of Bersirov family appeals to ECtHR
| The defenders of the Bersirovs, whose family members died in autumn of 2008 in a road accident near Maikop, have appealed to the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) with a demand to nullify the decision to stop the criminal case and collect from the Russian Federation a moral compensation in the amount of two thousand euros. This was reported by Rafael Bersirov, a relative of the perished family members. |

Circassian folk games for the youth are being recreated in Adygea
| Young Circassians who came to study in the institute of higher education of Adygea from Syria initiated Circassian folk games among the youth which had not been held in the republic till autumn, 2011. On March, 24, the third game passed off on Maikop. The number of the participants is growing. In the young people’s opinion, the games integrate the youth, let them get acquainted with one another and come to know their history. |

Adam Bogus: about 100 families of Syrian Circassians are willing to move to Adygea

At present, about 100 families of Circassians from Syria are ready to relocate to Adygea. In total, up to 300 families are willing to relocate; however, many people feel restrictions of the legal difficulties for the return and the lack of a visa-free regime between Russia and Syria. This was reported by representatives of Adygea, who visited Syria on March 16-19 on the delegation of the Federation Council.

Delegation of Council of Federation goes to Syria on resettlement of Circassians to Russia

Today in the morning, a delegation of the Council of Federation of the Russian Parliament, which included representatives of Adygea, Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay-Cherkessia, has flown to Syria. The delegates plan to study the situation around a possible resettlement of the Circassians who wish to return to their historical homeland, said Adam Bogus, the acting chairman of the movement "Adyge Khase – Circassian Parliament" of Adygea.

In two SFD regions Gennady Zyuganov wins more votes at presidential election than country's average

According to the results of processing of nearly 100 percent of the ballots in the Southern Federal District (SFD), Vladimir Putin is in the lead at the election of Russian President. He has won the highest percentage of 70.24 of the votes – in Kalmykia. Gennady Zyuganov has shown the best result in Adygea and the Rostov Region, where more than 20 percent of voters had cast their ballots for him.
