Ecological Watch: mass death of fish in pond of Maikop Distillery
Activists of the "Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus" have fixed a mass death of fish in the pond and air pollution in the Maikop District of Adygea, near the local distillery; however, the Prosecutor's Office has not confirmed the death of fish.

In Adygea, defence of Bersirov family appeals to ECtHR
| The defenders of the Bersirovs, whose family members died in autumn of 2008 in a road accident near Maikop, have appealed to the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) with a demand to nullify the decision to stop the criminal case and collect from the Russian Federation a moral compensation in the amount of two thousand euros. Circassian folk games for the youth are being recreated in Adygea
| Young Circassians who came to study in the institute of higher education of Adygea from Syria initiated Circassian folk games among the youth which had not been held in the republic till autumn, 2011. On March, 24, the third game passed off on Maikop. The number of the participants is growing. In the young people’s opinion, the games integrate the youth, let them get acquainted with one another and come to know their history. |

Adam Bogus: about 100 families of Syrian Circassians are willing to move to Adygea
| At present, about 100 families of Circassians from Syria are ready to relocate to Adygea. In total, up to 300 families are willing to relocate; however, many people feel restrictions of the legal difficulties for the return and the lack of a visa-free regime between Russia and Syria. Delegation of Council of Federation goes to Syria on resettlement of Circassians to Russia
| Today in the morning, a delegation of the Council of Federation of the Russian Parliament, which included representatives of Adygea, Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay-Cherkessia, has flown to Syria.
